Two essays by Mary Allen have been awarded prizes in Tiferet Journal’s spiritual writing contest.  “At the Monastery” won first prize and “The Deep Limitless Air” received one of three top runner-up prizes.

Mary Allen has also published articles and essays in Poets and Writers, Real Simple, CNN Online, The Chaos, and Library Journal, and in two anthologies, The Love Book and If I Don’t Make It, I Love You: Survivors in the Aftermath of School Shootings; short stories in Shenandoah and Beloit Fiction Journal, and poetry in the Spoon River Poetry Review.   She is a featured blogger on the website for Psychology Today.  She compiled and edited five original anthologies, published in large print by G. K. Hall.
